How to Achieve Beautiful and Healthy Hair?


We've all suffered from a 'bad hair' day, but for some it's never ending. It's so frustrating to put so much time and effort into your hair, only to have it looking constantly flat, and dull. Rinse your hair with cool water. Avoid rinsing your hair in hot water, as it can dry it out, leaving it looking very dull. After shampooing and conditioning, rinse your hair with cool water. This closes the cuticle, allowing light to reflect off your hair, which causes it to look much shinier. If your hair is very dry, try using a spray-on shine mist.


Buy the correct shampoo and conditioner. Only buy the type of shampoo and conditioner that is suitable for your hair type. This isn't necessarily the most expensive brand! Also, don't wash it too often or you will strip the natural oils from your hair. A good rule of thumb is every other day for oily or normal hair, and twice weekly for dry hair.

Clean and wash your combs and brushes weekly. Dirty tools mean dirty hair. You will undo any good you have done by washing your hair, if you use a dirty comb immediately afterwards. Many people do not pay attention to their combs. Be wary of allowing your products to fall behind the sink or toilet.


If you play sports, make sure that you wipe off all of your sweat or take a shower after you are finished. Sweat carries a lot of bacteria and residue that can hurt the quality of your hair, if you do not wash it away. Maintain proper hygiene for a quality hair care routine.

You really only need to wash your hair as often as you feel is needed for keeping it clean. The amount that you wash it, also depends on your hair type. The general rule if you have oily hair, is that it needs to be washed every day or every two days. For dry hair, just wash it 2-3 times per week.
